Love and Other Subjects

Love and Other Subjects - Kathleen Shoop Did the plot pull you in or did you feel you had to force yourself to read the book? This was a very fun book to read and I did not feel forced.

How realistic was the characterization? You feel sorry for Carolyn. Her mishaps seem ridiculous and the way she clings on to things / people seems silly but it is realistic.

What are some of the book's themes? Self-acceptance. Carolyn strives to be liked. She pulls herself this way and that when she should appreciate who she is.

Did the book end the way you expected? Yes, it did and I am looking forward to reading more books by Kathleen Shoop.

Disclosure - I received a complimentary copy from the author which did not affect my honest opinion.
