Did the plot pull you in or did you feel you had to force yourself to read the book? This was an extremely well-written book and I wanted to keep reading. The plot more than pulled me in because I was able to finish the book in less than a day.
How realistic was the characterization? Halfway through, you start putting yourself in Jackee's shoes and it is a terrifying feeling. In other words, the characterization is very realistic.
What are some of the book's themes? Relationships and moving past difficulties. There are various relationships that are explored in detail. This includes, parent-child, husband-wife and friendship.
Did the book end the way you expected? For the most part, yes. My book club members and I were confident about the ending and there was nothing else we were expecting from the book.
